Pretty Peppy Star
Moon blindness has limited Star’s vision, but never her spirit. This patient lesson horse inspires riders with similar challenges—and keeps us humble by opening cattle-panel gates with her chest. Apparently, “latched” is just a suggestion.
Dolly
Little Mo Starlight
Dolly joined us at 21, bringing calm, patience, and quiet leadership to the herd. At 25, she still greets athletes and volunteers with the same unbeatable motto: “Game ON!”
Ironee
Friendly, confident, reliable, and full of personality, Ironee came to us when her time at Pine Cove ended, ready for a new opportunity to keep serving people. She loves meeting new riders and making them feel welcome from the very first ride—a reminder that every ending can become the beginning of something wonderful.
Chick
Ima San Chick
Chick first shared her four feet with Dream Catcher Stables athletes in 2018, then returned from 2023–2025. Beloved by longtime volunteer Jana, she spent years greeting neighborhood children for pets and rides. After hard times changed their lives in 2020, Dream Catcher Stables helped make a new chapter possible. Now Chick will remain with the herd for life—still happiest when sharing her gentle spirit with kids.
Lacey
Denim ‘N Lace
Lacey left show-ring pressure behind and found her stride as a trusted partner for independent riders. Her height offers a magnificent view, while her easygoing style makes every ride feel like a cruise.
Lil Bit
Ima Lil Bit of Doc
Born a twin, Lil Bit may be small, but her personality is full-size. She has carried tiny beginners, supported therapeutic riders, and still enjoys bareback rides with Blake, her first rider. At 25, she remains people-loving—with just a little extra sass.
Michelle
Docs Michelle
After overcoming a serious hoof split, Michelle found her calling with people who use wheelchairs. Calm and careful, she gives riders room to steer and the freedom to travel—while making it clear she has the job handled.
Stormy
A veteran of the Salt Grass Trail, Stormy brings confidence, experience, and plenty of pep to riders of every level. She has taught the herd a few tricks, too—and gladly accepts face rubs as payment.
Lexie
Lexie found her forever home with a larger herd, open pasture, and plenty of trails. Riders love her smooth gaits, and her Paso genes make sure every outing includes a little extra glide.
Charlie
Charlie Has Heart
Tall, gentle, and marked by a heart-shaped star, Charlie traded a high-pressure career for a life of serving athletes. Laid to rest on September 21, 2026, he is remembered with deep gratitude for every rider he carried and every life he touched. Charlie Has Heart was more than his name—it was who he was.
Among those whose lives Charlie touched is Debra, pictured here—a long-time friend of DCS. Together with her husband, Kep, she shared countless hours at Charlie’s side, and the bond they formed with him is a testament to the warmth he gave so freely.
