Dream Catcher Stables creates opportunities for people with disabilities to learn, grow, and thrive through the partnership between horse and rider.
Our story
Founded in 1999 after more than a decade of pilot programs, Dream Catcher Stables began with one horse, a small group of riders, and a belief that every person deserves the opportunity to succeed. An IRS 501(c)(3) public charity since 2003, Dream Catcher is a volunteer-powered organization serving youth and adults with disabilities throughout Greater Houston through adaptive riding and horsemanship.
Every rider’s journey is unique.
Adaptive Riding is horseback riding tailored to each participant’s abilities and goals. Lessons combine riding and horsemanship to support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development in a safe, encouraging environment.

Dream Catcher Stables welcomes children age five and older, teens, and adults with physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional disabilities. Each prospective rider requires physician approval and an assessment.
