For more than two decades, Dream Catcher Stables has been creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to discover confidence, independence, and possibility through the extraordinary partnership between horse and rider.
Our Story
Every organization has a beginning. Ours started with a simple belief: every person deserves the opportunity to grow, succeed, and experience the joy of working with horses.
Founded in 1999, Dream Catcher Stables began as the culmination of more than a decade of pilot programs exploring how horsemanship could create meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities. What started with one horse, a handful of riders, and a vision has grown into a thriving Adaptive Riding program serving families throughout the Greater Houston area.
Over the years, we’ve overcome challenges, relocated our facility, expanded our programs, and continued moving toward the vision that inspired our founders—a permanent place where people with disabilities can learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential through interaction with horses.

Powered by Volunteers
Dream Catcher Stables operates because people choose to give their time, talents, and hearts to our mission. Every member of our leadership team serves as a volunteer. Many of our board members also teach lessons, mentor riders, care for the horses, organize events, and help with the countless day-to-day tasks that keep the barn running.
Whether someone volunteers every weekend or helps whenever they can, each person plays an important role in creating opportunities for our riders and ensuring our horses receive the care they deserve.
