Dream Catcher Stables has never been about luxury. We’ve always been about making the most of what we have so that every rider has the opportunity to experience the life-changing partnership between horse and rider.
Today, however, “making do” isn’t enough.
The horses we love need ongoing care. Equipment that has served us faithfully for years needs to be replaced. Charlie needs surgery and rehabilitation. And we’re working toward securing a permanent home where Dream Catcher can continue serving riders for years to come.

For more than 25 years, Dream Catcher Stables has helped children and adults with disabilities discover confidence, independence, communication, strength, and trust through Adaptive Riding.
Our horses do far more than carry riders around an arena. They respond without judgment. They wait patiently while a rider processes an instruction, finds their balance, or gathers the courage to try again. Their steady movement can help riders develop coordination and body awareness, while the relationship they build with a horse creates opportunities for connection, responsibility, and emotional growth.
For some riders, progress may look like holding the reins independently. For another, it may be speaking a new word, following a sequence of steps, sitting taller, or trusting someone enough to accept help. These victories may seem small from the outside, but to our riders and their families, they can mean everything.
Our horses make those moments possible—but only when they are healthy, comfortable, well-fed, and properly cared for.
The reality is simple:

I've carried hundreds of riders over the years.
I’ve felt tiny hands wrapped around the reins for the very first time. I’ve carried children who were afraid, children who were determined, and children who discovered they were capable of far more than they ever imagined.
I’ve celebrated first smiles, first words, first independent rides, and victories that didn’t happen overnight—but one patient step at a time. I’ve watched confidence replace fear, independence grow with every lesson, and families celebrate milestones they once thought were impossible.
But before I can do any of that, I need someone to care for me.
I need nourishing feed, clean water, regular veterinary care, a farrier to keep me sound, safe equipment that fits properly, and a barn where I can rest and be ready for the next rider who needs me. I don’t know what those things cost. I only know that without them, I can’t do the work I was born to do.
